Abstract

The transmission of dengue is influenced by a complex interplay of human living environments, mosquito ecology, and disease control strategies. This talk centers on the concept of One Health, drawing on empirical studies from various regions to explore how interactions among humans, animals, and the environment shape dengue dynamics. It will cover the spatial and temporal variations in dengue hotspots, examine how residential patterns impact mosquito habitats, investigate the development of insecticide resistance due to chemical usage, and discuss the phenomenon of message fatigue in public health campaigns. These findings highlight the importance of context-specific strategies and propose sustainable, locally adapted approaches to disease control. The presentation underscores the essential role of interdisciplinary collaboration and effective health communication within the One Health framework.
