About me

After years of clinical work with children at risk in Israel, I turned to the broad discipline of public health. Starting a second career of researcher in Taiwan allowed me to integrate my interests in different aspects of human development. I pursuit holistic understanding of health, using life course and ecological approaches. In a fast-changing world full of emerging crises, acquisition of novel research methods and skills is essential, therefore I encourage my students to broaden their horizons before focusing on a specific research topic. My advisory style emphasizes academic integrity, independent work, clarity of thought and punctuality. I view the process of advising graduate students as mutual exchange, an opportunity to learn from people with diverse backgrounds.
