Public Health devotes to promoting population health and disease prevention. This aspiration requires multifaceted efforts: carefully organizing social resources, applying methods of preventive medicine, biostatistics, epidemiology, health promotion, environmental health and social sciences, and tailoring actionable policies while taking political and legal considerations into account. As people show growing concerns about public health issues and interest in pursuing a healthy environment and lifestyle, the demand for public health is surging. Concerning such societal expectations, The Institute of Public Health establishes its founding principle of “culminating public health professionals with a global perspective, as well as practicing for societal goods”. The educational objectives of The Institute are:
1. Delivering rigorous and diverse public health courses.
2. Engaging in cross-disciplinary public health research.
3. Advancing social practices and international exchanges.
The Institute offers research-based master and doctoral degrees. Applicants may choose one of the designated divisions on their behalf: Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Data Science, Health Policy and Law. To foster students’ professional competency and critical thinking, each division has unique curricula comprised of different course requirements and Seminar sessions.
